Koch Reagent (Glyoxilide)

Is an oxidation catalyst used in very low dosage.  It is believed to stimulate biochemical reactions that antagonize malignant cells.  It is usually administered by injection into the muscle.  The theory is that the anaerobic (non-oxidizing) metabolism of malignant cells may be part of the cause of malignancy, as well as indentifying characteristics of cancer cells.  Stimulating oxidation results in an enviornment less favorable to cancer cells.
