Hair Analysis

Is painless, easy and free of risks.  A small amount of hair is taken from the nape of the neck to examine the intracellular (inside the cell) informationof the persons condition for the last three months.  This procedure reveals toxic metal levels and nutrient mineral levels.

Hauschka Massage

Is a rhythmical form of massage that restores harmony in the individual by overcoming imbalances caused by stress and illnesss.

Hematocrit

1.  Centrifuge for separating solidsfrom plasma in the blood.  2.  The volume of erythrocytes packed by centrifugation in a given volume of blood.

Hematogenous Oxidation Therapy

Is the process of taking a small amount of patients blood, irridiating it with light, and returning it to the body.  This repeated procedure can strengthen immunity.

The science concerned with blood and the blood-forming tissues.

Hematuria

Blood in the urine.

Hemolytic

Pert. to the breaking down of red blood cells.

Hemostasis

1.  Arrest of bleeding or of circulation.  2.  Stagnation of blood.

Herbal Therapy

Uses various herbal combinations for healing as well as cleansing purposes.  These are used in the form of tablets, capsules, tinctures, extracts, and herbal baths with poultices.  Herbs are a valuable adjunct to many therapies.

Herniorrhaphy

Surgical operation for repair of hernia.  Hernia is the pushing of an organ or part of an organ past the wall of the body cavity which normally contains it.

High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy

Is the delivery of a high dose of radiation in and around a tumor through the placement of a small radioactive source.  Also called interstilial irradiation, it is frequently used in the treatment of cancers of the breast, cervix, lung, prostate, rectum, tongue, and uterus.

Hilar

Depression in an organ where the blood vessels enter, as in the kidney, lungs, and various glands.

Histocytoma

A tumor containing histocytes.  Histocytes are tissues cells.

HLB (Hyton-Lygard Bradford) Blood Tests

Are used on patients to monitor the progress of their disease.

Homeopathy

Is a system of medicine based on the belief that the cures of disease can be effected by minute doses of substances that, if given to a healthy person in large doses, would produce that same symptoms as are present in the disease being treated.  Homeopathy employs natual substances in small doses to stimulate the bodys reactive process to remove toxic waste and bring the body back into balance.  It was first used in the early 1800ass by Samuel Hahnemann of Germany.

Hyaluronic Acid

Injections are used for pain relief in people with osteoarthritis, whose joints have reduced amounts of this protective substance.

Hydrazine Sulfate

Is an inexpensive chemical substance used to treat cachexia (wasting away).  Is is said to have anti-cancer properties.

Hydrocolon Therapy

Hydrogen Peroxide

Properly prepared and given orally or by infusion, is used to increase oxygen tension in the cancer cell.  It is used for other degenerative disease, too.

Hydrotherapy

Can include steam baths, whirlpools, foot baths, and mineral baths, all of which help remove toxins from the body, stimulate the entire nervous system and muscular system, and increase circulation.

Hydroxocobalamin

Is an injectable form of vitamin B12, which is essential for blood and nerve function, cell production, and growth.

Hypepigmentation

Abnormal (too much) coloring, usually of the skin.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Uses the administration of 100-percent oxygen at a controlled pressure for a perscribed amount of time to help fight infection, increase oxygen delivery within the body, cause the formation of new capillaries, and have a variety of other healing results.

Hyperthermia

Is the artificial induction of exceptionally high fever for therapeutic purposes.  Malignant cells cannot tolerate heat as well as normal cells can; therefore, the increased temperature destroys cancer cells and leaves normal cells intact.  There are several ways of using hyperthermia, ranging from a wet heat to a dry heat.

Hypertrophy

Increased size of an organ, or of the body, due to abnormal growth.

Hypoglycemia

Deficiency of sugar in the blood.  A condition in which the glucose in the blood is abnormally low.

Hypothermic Ozone Chamber

Is a detoxifictation method using steam to deliver ozone through the skin.
